fashion designing colleges in chennai chennai tamil nadu

We started as a fashion designing unit in the year 2012 and simultaneously offered part time courses on Patternmaking & Garment Construction for students who were interested to learn the craft. fashion designing courses in chennai for housewives

After 2years and a lot of good reviews we started growing steadily and eventually planned to expand the business & start an institution on Design Courses.

Now, the institution offers various part-time & full-time Design Courses on Fashion & Interior with a well structured syllabus & experienced faculties.

The mission of AIFD is to educate the students to gain technical and commercial knowledge that the profession demands so that they become readily employable and successful entrepreneurs in design fields. The Institute challenges students to create new and valuable ideas through innovation, collaboration and experimentation. The focus is to make unique and professional education in the field of fashion designing.

While traditional fabrication methods of weaving and knitting remain, new fabric technologies are emerging. Knits are being fashioned to form seamless garments that are shaped to fit any figure. Nonwovens are inexpensive to produce and are adaptable to multiple end uses. Experimentation with a variety of finishing techniques for nonwovens has introduced a new aesthetic option for designers such as Hussein Chalayan, who fashioned dresses of Tyvek nonwoven fabrics. Foams give options of developing sculptural shapes for the body as well as providing insulation. Synthetic rubber allows garments to fit close to the body with freedom of movement in many applications, from wet suits to evening gowns.
