The main purpose of this project a number of different methodologies have been developed for the optimal design of looped water distribution network. Many of these techniques utilize conventional operations research techniques together with design modifications procedure to iterate towards the optimal solution. Most of the techniques require a pre-determined layout. The network components are optimized on the basis of this layout.
